This is an ISO certified - continuous plant which results in high production compared to other processes. The ease of automation helps to lower the workforce requirement. With the in-house technologywe have achieved the target maximum yield which is better than the prescribed limit by technology suppliers. M/s. Luna Chemicals Industries Pvt. Ltd. Is engaged in manufacture of Acetic Anhydride and Acetanilide flakes with capacity of 1200 MT/Month and 600 MT/Month respectively. The Unit is started in 1998 with single plant having capacity of 300 MT/month, today there are four plants of acetic anhydride and 1 plant of acetanilide. Acetic Anhydride is manufactured in continuous process while acetanilide is manufactured in batch operation.

Quality Checks

After every one hrs dilute acetic acid % draw from different coolers after furnace section is checked which will be between 35 to 45 %. And then after every one hrs crude acetic anhydride % is checked which will be 80 to 85 %. And after every one hrs final acetic anhydride purity is checked by GC which will be 99.5 %.

Frozen Berries

This is an alpha-level technology plant. We have designated division in the plant for bottling of CO2. In this plant we are using our effluents for manufacturing of fertilizers which are used by farmers for their lands. We are also using the effluents for cultivation of trees and plantation around our plant area. We are steadily reaching towards our goal of making our plant a Zero-Discharge unit which shows our commitment towards environment.

Manufacturing Process of Absolute Alcohol

Furnace Section

The process drives the rectified feed (95% v/v alcohol) through a bed of desiccant beads. To allow for bead regeneration, in the continuous operation, twin beds are provided of which one is in dehydration mode while other is regenerating exchanges taken place in few minutes. In the regeneration process, absorbed water together with the contained ethanol is released, which is recycled back to the regeneration column for reprocessing.

Quality Checks

n process: Fermented wash: Wash in fermenter is checked for pH, volatile acidity and Alcohol % v/v by distillation method. Finished Product: Rectified spirit: Purity is checked by GC and dispatched after blending it with 5 ppm bitterant and 0.5 % Denaturant in neutralized cleaned Tanker under sealed condition under strict supervision of Prohibition and Excise personnel’s. Absolute Alcohol: Moisture is checked by Karl Fischer apparatus. Purity is checked by GC Other impurities like aldehyde content, Fusel oil content are analyzed by GC.

Luna chemical industries Pvt Ltd. manufacturing of Ibuprofen (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient). The manufacturing site is located near village Sayakha, Plot no - T-7, T-8 &T-9, G.I.D.C Ta- Vagra, Bharuch, Gujarat- India.

The manu facturing site is design as per U.S.FDA and E.U FDA guidelines and complies with ICH guidelines. The company manufacturing different pharmacopoeia grade like U.S.P, B.P, Ph. Eur. And I.P.

The capacity of plant is 36000MT/Annual & The facility is dedicated for Ibuprofen only. The company is committed to produce good quality products complies with all pharmacopoeia.

Manufacturing process

Furnace Section

Aniline is produced by vapor face reaction of nitrobenzene and hydrogen in the presence of catalyst. The reaction is exothermic and heat of reaction is extracted by circulation of thermic fluid. The complete process is continuous and taking place in the closed condition. The reaction has Ii maximum pressure of 600 MMWC and temperature is about 180 -200 deg C.

Quality Checks

During the DA drawing process every one hrs sample of dilute acetic acid % is checked and moisture , acetic acid % , free aniline, purity is checked of acetanilide flakes.


Certificates
